About GLLLC

Game Like Learning, LLC (GameLikeLearning.com, or GLL) was founded in 1971, using interactive visual chess analogies to teach math at the University of Michigan. The philosophy of Game Like Learning has always been to combine entertainment and VR with education to enhance the learning experience.

Flixedu.com is one of GLLLC's entry portals for all types of visual, auditory, game, VR and entertainment based learning systems and products, from open source (free) code, to software, learning products and productions. We've expanded far beyond video, gaming and chess to include many additional vector and tensor based technologies and devices, from smart phones to tablets, streaming video, 3D animation, smart TV's, laptops, podcasts and much more. For infomation on in and out licensing, or distributing your products, see our business model for fit, and then our educational model for content.

In addition to academic topics, GLLLC is the largest distributor in the U.S. of trade school oriented learning materials, covering numerous trades ignored by traditional educators such as woodworking, blacksmithing, law enforcement, military, home based careers, and many more. We also partner with traditional and online universities as well as Art Institutes worldwide in the fields of trade education, test prep, how-to, graphics, math and IT education, and also have pioneered original productions and game based learning and training in medicine, physics, math, chess education, aviation, VR, game design, and hundreds more.

GLLLC, by the nature of our products, archives, streams and distributes materials that are server and bandwidth intensive, and has innovated supercomputing, warehouse computing and other high tech IT applications and solutions in education, long before they were called cloud technologies. These include both floating point and massively parallel integer/ digital storage - access applications. For examples of how we're applying many of those technologies, visit our ClassPros tech site.

We also seek authors and artists who have 2D educational materials they would like to publish in animated, 3D, streaming, mobile and other new media formats. GLLLC also produces books with included CDs, DVDs and other media, and creates animated companion websites for many technical textbooks.
